Ghana’s Black Stars are now ranked the 47th best national team in the world.
This is according to the latest global ranking released by football governing body FIFA for the month of November.
Ghana had consistently occupied the 51st position for a couple of months until they got active in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The senior national team secured two victories – against South Africa and then Sao Tome and Principe – which has seen them earn 13 more points to their previous 1,426 for October.
Hitting 1,439 means coach Kwasi Appiah’s side move four places up to 47th in the world and 6th position in the Africa rankings.
Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria and Morocco make up the African top 5.
