The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Lepowura M.N.D Jawula as Chairman of a new seven-member Premier League Management Committee.
Jesse Amoh Agyepong, a marketing consultant previously with Telecommunications company tiGO and CEO of Afiba Consulting, will act as Vice-Chairman.
The new Premier League Management Committee replaces the old Premier League Board (PLB) system which had representation from all topflight clubs.
Under this new system, the Executive Council nominates two representatives, who will be the Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively.
Lepowura M.N.D. Jawula together with Jesse Agyepong are the two representatives named by the Executive Council.
The Premier League clubs then nominate the remaining five members to complete the Premier League Management Committee.
The five representatives nominated by the clubs are:
- Delali Eric Senaye – Inter Allies
- Francis Adjei Yeboah – Berekum Chelsea
- Alhaji Akanbi – Hearts of Oak
- Linda Ansong – Liberty Professionals
- John Ansah – Ebusua Dwarfs
This seven-member Premier League Management Committee will serve a one-year term and the GFA will engage the elite division clubs towards an autonomous league.
