The Vetting Committee for the 2019 Ghana Football Association (GFA) Elections has announced a schedule for aspiring candidates for next month’s polls.
At the close of submission of nominations last Friday, as many as 52 persons filed to contest for various positions.
Per the schedule, four presidential hopefuls – Amanda Akuokor Clinton, George Ankomah Mensah, Kurt Okraku and Nana Yaw Amponsah – will take turns to face the 5-member panel beginning Friday, September 27.
The remaining trio of Fred Pappoe, Wilfred Kwaku Osei and George Afriyie will also face the panel on Saturday.
The Vetting Committee is chaired by Mr. Frank Davies Esq, with Mrs. Marian Banor – who is a corporate governance consultant and legal practitioner – and lawyer Emmanuel Darkwah as members.
The rest of the members include Mr. Reginald Laryea – a Marketing and Business Executive – and Mr. Richard Akpokavie – a sports administrator and legal practitioner.
The Committee’s sittings will hold at the three-star La Villa Boutique Hotel located at Osu.
