Asante Kotoko defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 and advanced to the final round of qualifying to the 2019/20 Caf Champions League group stage Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors scored in either half at the Baba Yara Stadium through Kelvin Andoh and Emmanuel Gyamfi to overturn a 3-2 deficit from the first leg and progress 4-3 on aggregate.
Andoh hit the opener as early as the third minute before Gyamfi completed the business 10 minutes from time.
Kotoko saw two goals – by Keita Naby and Richard Arthur – ruled out for offside during the second half by Beninise referee Djindo Louis.
It was a good exercise for the Ghanaian giants who now have to brace up for a tricky tie with Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the next round of the competition.
Kotoko welcome Etoile in Kumasi for the first leg on September 15 before travelling for the second leg in Sousse a fortnight later.
