The Young Lions looked resolute at all departments with their physic. Both sides failed to create clear-cut opportunities as the half ended 1-0 in favour of Senegal.
From recess, the Satellites fought hard to get back into the game but the Senegalese, despite finishing with 10 men, proved stronger on the day.
The result means that coach Yaw Preko’s lads failed to secure early qualification to the next stage, having beaten Burundi 2-1 in the opener.
Mali, on the other hand, walloped Burundi 3-0 to move to the top of Group B.
Ghana now place third on the log with three points ahead of the last round of matches. The Black Satellites will battle Mali on Saturday.
