Tiger Woods has competed one of sport’s greatest ever comebacks after winning his first major title in 11 years at The Masters.
The golf superstar, 43, last won a major at the 2008 US Open before his career was threatened by injury and personal problems.
An emotional Woods hugged his girlfriend Erica Herman, mother Kultida, daughter Sam, 11, and son Charlie, nine, following his historic win.
It is his fifth Masters title – his first since 2005 – and the first time Woods has ever come from behind on the final day to win a major championship.
After his victory, Woods described his achievement as “overwhelming” and said it was “one of the hardest I’ve ever had to win”.
“It’s unreal for me to experience this,” he said.

“I couldn’t be more happy and excited, I’m kind of at a loss for words.
“To have my kids there, it’s come full circle. My dad was here in ’97 and now I’m the dad with two kids there.”
Woods took a self-imposed hiatus from golf from December 2009 to early April 2010 in an attempt to resolve marital issues with his then wife Elin Nordegren.
It came after Woods was accused of a string of extramarital affairs by several women and the couple eventually divorced.
After years as golf’s number one player, his world ranking fell to as low as 1,199 at one point after having four surgeries on his back.
And in 2017, Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving and settled a charge of driving under the influence as he avoided jail.
US President Donald Trump was among those who hailed Woods’ Masters victory, writing on Twitter: “Congratulations to @TigerWoods, a truly Great Champion!”
Tennis champion Serena Williams said she was “literally in tears” watching Woods’ win.
“This is greatness like no other,” she tweeted.
“Knowing all you have been through physically to come back and do what you just did today? Wow Congrats a million times! I am so inspired thank you buddy.”
Meanwhile, Nicklaus tweeted: “A big “well done” from me to @TigerWoods! I am so happy for him and for the game of golf. This is just fantastic!!!”
