Ghana have agreed a friendly date with Mauritania to kick off their respective preparations towards the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars will host the warm-up game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, March 26, three days after playing Kenya in their final Afcon qualifier at the same venue.
Both Ghana and Mauritania, who also travel to play Burkina on March 22, have already qualified for the Egypt tournament. For Mauritania, Egypt 2019 will be their first ever Afcon competition.
The Mourabitounes, after taking on the Stallions in Ouagadougou, make a short trip to Accra to face coach Kwasi Appiah’s side.
24 players were invited to Ghana’s camp for the March international break – where they get to play both Kenya and Mauritania. Both games will afford Kwasi Appiah the opportunity to assess all invited players.
