Accra Hearts of Oak have debunked media reports that head coach and director of football Kim Grant is on the verge of resigning.
Reports were rife on Monday morning that Grant, who took permission to travel to the Czech Republic will not return to his post following the departure of former CEO Mark Noonan.
The reports indicated that Kim Grant is not happy and has vowed to follow suit.
But the hierarchy of the club has called on its supporters and the public at large to disregard the claims.
“The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited wishes to appeal to the general sporting public, especially the team’s followers to disregard all media reports making rounds that the club’s Director of Football and First Team head coach, Kin Grant will not return to the club as the head of the technical team.
“The reports suggested that Kim Grant is not happy with the departure of Mark Noonan and has thus vowed to follow suit, but management hereby States emphatically that such reports are false and have been deliberately concocted by a section of the media to cause disunity. They only serve the selfish interest of those spreading the falsehood.
”We wish to remind our followers that Kim Grant is committed to the Hearts of Oak project and delighted, and ready to work with the new CEO Frederick Moore whom he has already had productive discussions with to bring success to the club,” reads a statement signed by Public Relations Officer, Kwame Opare Addo.
Kim Grant was appointed to lead Hearts’ technical team during the reign of Mark Noonan.
Meanwhile, new Hearts CEO Moore officially began work on Monday.
