Denmark-based Ghanaian coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani is set to join the Black Stars technical team to assist head coach Kwasi Appiah.
In what, top sources say a massive shake-up engineered by the Ghana FA Normalization Committee, Dramani who left his roles at the GFA for a lucrative offer from Danish topflight side Nordsjaelland in January 2018, has been contacted to replace Maxwell Konadu on the senior national team’s technical bench.
It is however understood that Dramani, with his expertise as a Caf Technical Instructor, will prefer to join the Black Stars bench on temporary basis and return to club duties with Nordsjaelland after helping Kwasi Appiah at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for June 21 to July 19 in Egypt.
Konadu, who at the time of this report, was yet to be officially informed of the decision, will however be maintained as the head coach of the home-based senior national team (Black Stars B).
According to Footy-Ghana.com, one of the other changes in Kwasi Appiah’s backroom is the exit of equipment officer Ishmael Hamidu whose replacement is not readily known by our outfit.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Tanko maintains his job but may have his role changed as the second assistant to Appiah. Tanko and Appiah flew out of the country this week to scout a camping place for the Black Stars’ 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign and as well embark on player monitoring for the final qualifying home game against Kenya scheduled for next month.
Kwasi Appiah is also to be provided a physical trainer for Ghana’s preparations and campaign at the 2019 Afcon in Egypt.
