Former Ghana international Memunatu Sulemana has backed the Black Queens to host and win the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The first time hosts have been pitted against Algeria, Mali and Cameroon in Group A of the 11th edition of the biennial championship scheduled for November 17 to December 1.
The Black Queens, who are chasing a first title, have been in camp for close to 3 months preparing for the tournament.
And Sulemana, a former goalkeeper of the team and current keepers’ trainer of the national U-17 women’s side believes team Ghana is much ready to rule Africa.
“With the way their [Black Queens] preparation is going, I can say confidently that they will host and win the tournament.
“I watched this COSAFA Women’s Cup and comparing the way Cameroon and South Africa played to what I have seen in the Queens camp, I have no doubt Ghana can win the Women’s Afcon,” she told Starr Sports.
