The Government of Ghana has agreed to Fifa’s request to discontinue the court process of winding up its national football association.
However, the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association as presently constituted is to be replaced by a Normalization Committee which will be determined after consultations between Caf and the Government of Ghana.
The world football governing, expressing its displeasure in the route being taken, had given the Ghana government an August 27 ultimatum or risk an immediate suspension.
Following that, a government delegation led by Minister for Youth and Sports Isaac Asiamah, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Godfred Dame Yeboah met with a FIFA delegation comprising its President Gianni Infantino, Secretary General Fatma Samoura and other officials in Zurich on Thursday to discuss next steps for football administration in Ghana.
