Ghana star Kwadwo Asamoah has picked shirt number 18 at new club Inter Milan.
The 29-year-old, who signed a three-year contract with Nerazzurri after ending his long stay with Italian champions Juventus last week, was outdoored on Tuesday.
Speaking at his unveiling, Asamoah was confident his new club can do “really well” in the upcoming 2018/19 season.
He said: “We can do really well this year, Inter has everything needed to play a big role. Physically, I’m in good shape. I train every day and I’m ready for this adventure.
“I’m happy to be here. I only started to work yesterday with the team and my new teammates but I already feel a part of the Nerazzurri family.
“There was the possibility to stay in Turin but I chose this shirt. I wanted a new experience, as did my family. Inter are doing well, I hope to improve further here and to do important things.
“The Champions League is a difficult competition for any team. We’ll have the chance to measure up against the best clubs in Europe. We want to do well and go as far as possible.”
Asamoah expressed his readiness to continue in his newly-adopted full-back role or his accustomed positions in midfield for Inter Milan.
“I spoke with Spalletti and the directors about the project and the club’s objectives. I want to do something important and that’s why I’m here. My role? Either as a full-back or midfielder, I’m ready to give everything.”
