Ghana’s government has said the “pervasive nature of the rot” within the country’s football has made it to begin steps to dissolve the Ghana Football Association.
This follows revelations in the just-premiered #Number12” video documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
A statement by the Information Ministry Thursday said government is “shocked and outraged at the contents” which “exposes the gross mal-function of the Ghana Football Association characterized by widespread fraud, corruption and bribery.”
It added that “government will communicate its decisions to Caf and Fifa and engage with them on these developments to chart a way forward for the development of Ghana football.”
