An Emergency Committee member of the Ghana Football Association and Chairman of the Black Stars B Management Committee, Eddie Doku is seen taking money to influence the “selection and play time” for Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak at the 2017 Wafu Cup.
This is part of a teaser in the #Number12 exposé on corruption in football set to be premiered by undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas from Wednesday afternoon.
Eddie Doku, who aalso serves as the Greater Accra Regional Football Association boss and head of the Referees’ Appointment of the Ghana FA, received the money from the undercover Tiger Eye reporter to ensure that Razak is selected and plays more in Ghana’s games during the West Africa Football Union (Wafu) Cup of Nations tournament held at Cape Coast in September last year.
In the teaser, Doku, after receiving the unspecified money in three bundles, unwrapped it, then split them into the left and right side pockets of his shirt as well as the back pocket of his trousers.
While seemingly giving assurances after taking the money, a gleeful Doku then crumples the wrapping and hands over to the undercover reporter.
The #Number12 premiere is scheduled for the Accra International Conference Center from 3pm. It also has three other viewing times – 5pm, 8pm and 10pm same day.
