The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has indicated it will elect a new First Vice President at its September Congress following the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The Ghanaian bowed out of all football positions following allegations of corruption which emerged in an exposé by renowned Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas last week.
Caf is scheduled to hold its Congress in Cameroon on September 30.
Meanwhile, Nyantakyi has denied any wrongdoing for issues in the Anas video but apologized for “indiscretion”. He is expected to address the media soon on the issues raised.
Kwesi Nyantakyi, was president of the Ghana Football Association, First Vice at Caf, a Fifa Council member, Fifa Associations Committee member and President of Wafu Zone B.
