Ghana’s Black Satellites are through to the final qualification stage of the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations after beating Algeria 2-0 in Cape Coast on Sunday.
Midfielder Kudus Mohammed got the opener for Coach Jimmy Cobblah’s side in the 35th minute before Ibrahim Sadiq made it 2-0 for Ghana in the 47th minute.
After the 0-0 draw in the first leg last weekend, the Black Satellites make it into the final stage of the qualifiers on a 2-0 aggregate score line.
Ghana will next play Benin, who also kicked out Gambia on Sunday, in a two-legged final qualifying tie scheduled for July.
Niger will host next year’s African Youth Championship with the four semi-finalists set to make it to the 2019 Fifa U-20 World Cup in Poland.
