Ghana’s Black Satellites have left Accra Wednesday morning for the first leg of their 2019 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria.
Coach Jimmy Cobblah’s side is scheduled to face the Greens in the first leg of the penultimate qualifying round at Stade 5 Julliet 1962 this Friday, May 11.
Ghana’s 18-man squad for the game in Algiers comprises six members of the recent U-17 team which featured at the World Cup in India as well as four foreign-based players.
According to the Ghana FA, the Black Satellites will outdoor Ghana’s newly designed Puma kits in the Algeria clash.
Ghana will then host the return leg tie at Cape Coast Stadium on May 20.
The aggregate winner of the Ghana-Algeria tie advances to the final lap of the qualifiers to face either Gambia or Benin. The first leg games have been fixed to come of between 13, 14 and 15 of July while the second leg games will be played between 20, 21, and 22 of July this year.
