Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah is hoping his suspended deputy, Pius Enam Hadzide, will be exonerated from any wrongdoing and reinstated.
Hadzide, together with National Sports Authority boss, Robert Sarfo Mensah and NSA Board Chairman Kojo Baah Agyeman, have been suspended by H.E Nana Akufo-Addo in relation to the Australia visa fraud scandal which hit Ghana’s campaign at the 2018 Commonwealth games in Australia.
Investigations are currently ongoing and Isaac Asiamah has told Starr Sports he hopes Hadzide is cleared at the end of the investigations.
“I have really missed him.
“I mean he is my very good friend and I hope that he is exonerated from all these troubles,” he said.
A reported 50 Ghanaians were deported from Australia after they were deemed to be “non-genuine travelers” posing as journalists for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Pius Enam Hadzide has categorically stated that he played no role in the circumstances that led to the scandal.
