After failing in their bid to qualify for the ‘Money Zone’ of the Caf Champions League, Ghana’s Aduana Stars have another chance to challenge for a continental laurel in the Confederation Cup competition.
On Wednesday evening, the Confederation of African Football (Caf) held a draw where the winners of the Confederation Cup first round were pitted against the losers of the Champions League first round.
From the draw at the Ritz Carlton in Cairo, Ghana’s sole reps in Africa, Aduana Stars were handed Madagascan club Fosa Juniors.
The Dormaa-based club will first host Fosa Juniors at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on Sunday April 8.
The return leg in Madagascar comes off on the weekend of April 17-18.
The winner of this tie on aggregate will join 15 other qualified teams for the group stage. The draw for the groups of four teams will be held on April 21.
