The Black Satellites of Ghana will be skipping the first round of the Niger 2019 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, a draw held by Caf on Sunday has revealed.
Per their past performances, Ghana and eleven other countries were handed the privilege to begin chasing qualification from the penultimate round.
Ghana awaits the winner of the game between Algeria and Tunisia. The two-legged affair has been scheduled to be cleared by April 22.
The aggregate winner will then take on the Black Satellites on the weekend of May 11, 12 or 13 for the opening leg and the reverse also between 18, 19, and 20 of May.
The winner then advances to the final lap of the qualifiers to Niger 2019. The first leg games have been fixed to come of between 13, 14 and 15 of July while the second leg games will be played between 20, 21, and 22 of July this year.
Ghana failed to qualify for the last Under-20 Afcon two years ago.
