Asante Kotoko have appointed former coach Samuel Kwesi Fabin to guide the team “in the 2017/18 season.”
Fabin, 59, recently left the Ghana U-17 national team job where he led the team to a quarterfinal finish at the 2017 Fifa World Cup in India.
“Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the appointment of Samuel Kwesi Fabin as new Head Coach of the club.
“Mr. Fabin is tasked with a duty to guide the Porcupines in the 2017/18 season while managing talent at the club for overall success,” an official club statement Sunday read.
In his previous stint, coach Fabin worked with Asante Kotoko between August 2009 and June 2012.
The Kotoko job became vacant after the club decided to part ways with English trainer Steven Polack last Friday following their failure to advance from the preliminary round of the Caf Confederation Cup.
