American Mark Noonan is the new Managing Director of Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak.
He was formerly introduced to the club’s playing body by Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV Wednesday morning and is also expected to be presented to the rest of the board at a meeting later in the day.
Speaking to the team after their training at the Legon Ajax Park, Noonan said: “I have one goal and that is to make this place better when I leave than when I came and I will work tirelessly with your support to make that happen.”
Mark Noonan is a former executive vice president of the Major League Soccer (MLS) and Soccer United Marketing.
He was the chief commercial officer of the World Surf League. Noonan joined what was then called the Association of Surfing Professionals in July 2014 — ASP changed its name to WSL in ’15.
Prior to joining WSL, Noonan led his own sports marketing and media agency, FocalSport, which he founded in ’05.
Mark Noonan officially begins work as Managing Director of Hearts of Oak March 1.
