League champions Aduana Stars won their first ever Super Cup as they beat MTN FA Cup holders Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.
Striker Bright Adjei scored the only goal which separated both sides with a powerful drive in the 64th minute.
The two-time league winners become the first club from the Brong Ahafo region to feature in the “champion of champions game and win it.
Aduana’s Bright Adjei was named the man-of-the-match.
Both Aduana and Kotoko will represent Ghana in the Caf Champion League and Confederation Cup competitions respectively beginning February.
The new Ghana football season draws closer and closer. With the Super Cup now cleared, the GFA-StarTimes follows next weekend before the 2017/18 season officially kicks off on February 10.
