Ghana traveled to trounce Algeria 5-0 in the First Round first leg of the 2018 Fifa U-20 World Cup qualifying in Algiers Friday night.
Grace Asantewaa, Sandra Owusu Ansah and Helena Obeng all hit the back of the net with a goal each for the Black Princesses.
Also, Elmina Sea Lions midfielder Olivia Anokye came off the bench to score a brace at the Omar Hamadi stadium.
The emphatic victory puts the Black Princesses in a good position to qualify to the next stage of the qualifiers with the return leg set to be played on September 30.
The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the Second Round of the qualifiers to face either Ethiopia or Kenya.
Two countries will represent Africa at the 2018 Fifa U-20 World Cup which will be staged in France.
