Ghana’s Black Starlets were beaten 2-1 by Mali in their first of two pre-World Cup test games on Wednesday.
The match was played at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi where coach Paa Kwasi Fabin and his charges have pitched camp for their final preparations towards the U-17 World Cup in India.
Ghana led 1-0 at the break through a 13th minute strike by captain Eric Ayiah.
The Malians rallied back in the second half and equalized in the 67th minute through Lassana Ndiaye before Hadji Drame snatched the match winner in added time after capitalizing on a defensive blunder by the Starlets.
Ghana will play the second next game on Sunday against the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. Kickoff is at 13:30 GMT.
