The Ghana national Under-20 women’s team, Black Princesses’ preparations for next month’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria which was scheduled to commence on Monday has been delayed, the Sports Ministry has confirmed.
According to the outfit’s spokesperson Elvis Adjei Baah, it is as a result of a change in timetable and not based on finances as speculated.
“They were supposed to begin camping on Monday but for one or two reasons they could not go.
“It was just some changes on the timetable. It has nothing to do with money or something,” he told Starr Sports.
The Black Princesses are now expected to move to camp by Friday.
“Hopefully by the close of this week they should start camping,” Adjei Baah added.
Last week, named 30 players to start preparations towards qualifying to the 2018 Fifa Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
