Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has announced his readiness to return to the Ghana national team.
The 28-year-old has been out of the Black Stars team for the past three years.
At the 2017 CTB Awards held Tuesday night, Asamoah revealed he was reluctant to combine club football with international duties due to recurring injuries.
“Very soon I will join the [Black Stars] team. I left the team due to some injuries and I needed more time to get better,” Asamoah said.
“I know Ghana has a lot of talents and even without me, they are doing well.
“I did not want to join the team half fit but now I’m glad that I’m fully fit and will soon join the team.”
The Ghana FA recently revealed making frantic efforts in convincing the influential midfielder back to the Black Stars team.
