Ghana’s CHAN team defeated the Gambia senior side 2-1 in a warm-up game in Accra Wednesday morning.
The Black Stars ‘B’ dictated play from the blast of the whistle but failed to break down the scorpions.
Gambia however created the best chance of the first half but Bismark Trawally was prevented from registering the first goal by goalkeeper Razak Abalora.
The visitors upped their game at the second half with Modou Barrow tormenting the Ghana backline.
Hearts of Oak winger Thomas Abbey came off the bench to register the opening goal in the 52nd minute.
Striker Lamin Jallow pegged back on 75 minutes but Ghana quickly restored the lead two minutes after. Goalkeeper Razak Abalora elected himself and converted a penalty awarded the Black Stars after Joseph Paintsil was hacked down from behind.
The Black Stars ‘B’ held onto the 2-1 advantage till the blast of the final whistle.
