President of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA), Professor Francis Dodoo will vacate his post later in September, starrsportsgh.com has gathered.
This is as a result of a personal decision taken by the former national athlete.
According to our sources, Prof. Dodoo called for a GAA emergency meeting where he declared his position.
Starrsportsgh.com understands that the exit of Francis Dodoo, a Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Ghana, takes effect after team Ghana returns from the upcoming IAAF World Championships slated for August 4-13 in London.
Prof. Dodoo is midway into the second of a four-year term as President of the GAA meaning his deputy, Dr. Silvanus Lamptey will take over in acting capacity until the tenure ends in November 2018.
