Three-time African footballer of the Year, Abedi Pele sees a bright future for the game on the continent under new Caf President Ahmad.
Just as the Malagsy mentioned weeks ago, Abedi has confirmed holding a lengthy chat during a meeting in Morocco last month.
But the 52-year-old former Ghana captain says he is yet to know the specific role being planned out for him by the new leadership of African football.
“The new Caf President is somebody I respect so very much. He is someone who has been with Caf for so many years. He has come as Caf boss few weeks ago, we all hope that he is going to do well and his dreams and aspirations are going to be fulfilled.
”We also hope those who are going to help him with opinions to succeed are going to do their best.
“For me, they haven’t laid anything specifically down for us to do but what I know is I had a long discussion with him in Morocco and the future looks bright,” Ayew Pele stated.
New President of the Confederation of African Football, Ahmad has made public, his intentions to involve retired football greats from the continent in his development agenda.
