AshantiGold hat-trick hero Hans Kwofie says he is more concerned about winning one of the domestic titles with his new club than personal achievements.
The experienced forward scored an 8-minute treble for the Miners as they beat returnees Accra Great Olympics 3-1 in the first match day two game of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
Responding to a question on his season’s target at post-match, the 27-year-old said: “My target is to help AshGold win a cup, be it the League Cup or the FA Cup.”
“My focus is not on winning the best player award of any competition or the goal-king.
“I just want at least a trophy for my new club this season. With that, I will know I have made a mark here,” Kwofie who also won man-of-the-match explained.
The Miners won the 2014/15 Premier League but endured a torrid campaign last season.
Kwofie’s hat-trick against Olympics is the first to be recorded in the new campaign.
