Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak Kwame Opare Addo has laughed off rumors Managing Director of the club Vincent Sowah-Odotei has resigned from his post.
Vincent Sowah-Odotei was elected member of parliament for La Dadekotopon Constituency in the Greater Accra region in the 2016 general elections.
Reports were rife in the media earlier this week that he has decided to vacate his position to fully concentrate on representing his constituents in Parliament.
However, Kwame Opare Addo has denied the reports, insisting that Hearts of Oak have not received any resigning notice from Sowah-Odotei, as he is still the club’s Managing Director.
“This has come as a surprise to us. He [Odotei] has not submitted any letter saying that he’s quitting the club. I’ll appeal to everybody, especially the Hearts of Oak supporters to disregard this news because that is not the fact,” Opare Addo told GHOne TV sports.
Odotei returned to the phobians at the start of last season, first as Chairman of the Strategic Management Committee, and later Acting Managing Director for the club.
