The Director of Communications for the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara has given some insights into the criteria for the hiring of coach Avram Grant’s successor.
During his tenure, Grant was always criticized for mostly staying outside the country and neglecting local talents.
In an exclusive interview with GHOne TV, Daara has indicated that key among the factors that will be considered is the commitment of the coach to stay in Ghana.
“We want a coach who can catapult the team to greater heights – someone with a proven record of transforming teams and talents to make them shine when there is no hope…
“The competence of the coach, likeability, affinity to Africa and all of those things. We want a coach who will come and stay here, watch the local league, go around town, see some talents,” the Ghana FA spokesperson stated.
