The 2016/17 Ghana Premier League (GPL) will not commence on February 4 as scheduled.
This was confirmed to starrsportsgh.com by one of the 19-member Ghana Premier League Board (PLB) chaired by Ashford Tettey Oku.
The PLB took the decision at meeting on Tuesday and will communicate it to the Ghana FA Executive Committee for ratification.
Starrsportsgh.com is however unable to independently confirm the official reason(s) for the postponement of the very delayed new season at the time of filing this report.
The new season could however kick off on the weekend of February 11-12, 2017.
